We also had the pleasure of experiencing the Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa. This is a nice, big resort only 20 minutes away from the Nadi International Airport (Fiji’s main airport). Mostly Australians and Asians were vacationing here (not surprising since Australia and Asia are way closer geographically to Fiji).
The beach here is great; one of the best I saw in Fiji. This is a large luxury resort, which is amazing. If you are looking for something a bit smaller with a bit more Fijian charm, we can help you find a smaller, boutique resort.
And while this is not an all-inclusive resort, the food was good. The service was also good. The rooms were nice and very, very modern.
There are many activities to take park of: the paddle boarding in the bay was amazing. There are underwater caves at the island next door, during low tide you can wade over to this uninhabited island and tour the underwater caves. I, however did not go in as I thought about the soccer team stuck in a cave? There is a great golf course at this resort, the best in Fiji (only two on the island and this is by far the better choice). This course is very windy with lots of hills, most definitely a challenging course to play.
Sunsets (of course) were amazing.
Some of this resorts hightlights are:
- Facilities set among coconut palms and 35 acres of native flora
- Kayaking, paddle-boarding, or snorkeling
- 15 world-class dive sites
- Yoga
- PGA-endorsed 18 hole golf course
- Navo Caves
- As the sun disappears, a ritual torch-lighting ceremony takes place. Following the ceremony, bask in tribal drumming, fire dances or live music
